Mendikbud: Tidak Ada Lagi Pengangkatan Guru Honorer
Pemerintah melalui Kementerian Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan (Kemendikbud) menyatakan tidak akan ada lagi pengangkatan guru honorer. Artinya, para guru se-Indonesia hanya berstatus Pegawai Negeri Sipil atau pegawai pemerintah dengan perjanjian kerja.
Menteri Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan (Mendikbud) Muhadjir Effendy mengatakan sejak 2005 pemerintah telah melarang pengangkatan guru honorer. Guru pengganti hanya diangkat langsung oleh kepala sekolah untuk menggantikan kekosongan tenaga pendidik.
Untuk penyelesaiannya, pemerintah kini menyiapkan posisi Pegawai Pemerintah dengan Perjanjian Kerja (PPPK) untuk sisa guru honorer di Indonesia. Hal tersebut sesuai dengan instruksi presiden (Inpres) yang tidak memperbolehkan lagi dilakukan pengangkatan guru honorer.
Muhadjir menambahkan guru honorer kerap menghadapi permasalahan dalam pengangkatan posisi dalam Aparatur Sipil Negara (ASN).
