Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lay the foundation stone for three national highway projects of nearly 200 km at Baripada in Mayurbhanj district of Odisha on Saturday.
“The Prime Minister will do Bhoomi Pujan for three national highway projects worth Rs 3,318 crore in Baripada in Mayurbhanj district,” a government statement said.

BARIPADA: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Baripada on January 5 to highlight the contribution of NDA Government to North Odisha, said BJP State unit president Basant Panda here on Saturday. Addressing mediapersons, Panda said the Prime Minister will expose the negligence of the BJD Government towards this part of the State.
He said Modi’s visit to Mayurbhanj district will augur well for the saffron party. The location where Modi will address the people has not yet been confirmed. “It will be confirmed within two days,” Panda said.
The BJP leader said the NDA Government at the Centre in the last four and a half years has taken several initiatives for the welfare of people. During his visit to Baripada, the Prime Minister will attend a Government programme and unveil some projects. “The Prime Minister will arrive at 12 noon and spend at least two hours in the programme,” Panda informed. Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has announced a provision of Rs 10 crore for a cultural centre for Odia people in Surat. An announcement in this regard was made by him last evening while addressing the gathering at the Odisha Mahotsav in Surat.
Patnaik said he has written a letter to Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani for allocating land for the establishment of the Odia cultural centre.

Bhumi Pednekar recently appeared in the comedy Thank You For Coming and the film invited some extreme reactions from the viewers. While some praised the film for its bold concept, some shamed it for that. In an exclusive conversation with Bollywood Bubble host Akash Bhatnagar, Bhumi spoke about the latter group of people and slammed them for the shaming. She expressed her disappointment towards people who didn’t criticise the film but its intent. The actress discussed the prevalent gender bias and how people never took offence when she was a part of such stories told from a male perspective. She pointed out how Pankaj Tripathi and Akshay Kumar starrer OMG 2 was supported by the same people who shamed her film, when somewhere they dealt with the same subject. Bhumi revealed if not getting any support from women within the industry disappointed her. She highlighted the hypocrisy of the situation that people accept objectification of women but have a problem with them talking about their sexuality. You can watch the entire conversation here.
