India vs New Zealand 3rd T20I Match - Predicted Playing XIs & Stats Preview

India and New Zealand are set to face each other in the third T20I of the three-match series on Sunday, November 21 at the Eden Gardens, Kolkata. The Men in Blue, led by Rohit Sharma, have already taken an unassailable 2-0 lead after winning the second match in Ranchi by seven wickets.

The hosts will now look to win the last game and complete a series whitewash. The Black Caps, on the other hand, came into the series after becoming the runners-up in the T20 World Cup 2021. However, the Kiwis, without their skipper Kane Williamson, haven’t been able to find any rhythm.

Rohit Sharma has looked in excellent touch in the T20I series thus far. The 34-year-old has notched 103 runs from two games and is the leading run-getter of the series. He missed out on a half-century in the first game, but got one in the second. If he gets going, then the New Zealand bowlers could find themselves in a lot of trouble.

Ravi Ashwin has arguably been the standout bowler in the series. Although he isn’t the leading wicket-taker, the off-spinner has been able to make a significant impact. In two games, he has only accounted for one wicket, but he has conceded runs at an economy rate of 5.25. It means that the Kiwis’ batters haven’t found the going easy while facing him.
