External Affairs Minister's visit to Bangladesh - Ceremonial handing over of key to buses
During the visit of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to India in January 2010, India announced a US$1 billion Line of Credit to Bangladesh, the largest single line of credit exended by India to any country. One of the projects under the Line of Credit related to the supply of 290 double decker buses, 50 articulated buses and 88 single Air conditioned buses to Bangladesh Road Transport Corporation (BRTC).
At a ceremony on 17 February 2013, the External Affairs Minister handed over the key for the first tranche of 20 articulated buses to the Communication Minister of Bangladesh. The delivery of the remaining 30 articulated buses is expected to be completed by April 2013.

State Visit of King of Spain - Signing Ceremony
His Majesty King Juan Carlos I of Spain will be on a State Visit to India from October 24-27, 2012. He will be in Mumbai and Delhi during the course of his visit.
While in Delhi, His Majesty the King of Spain will be accorded a ceremonial welcome on October 26, 2012. He will call on the Hon'ble President of India, who will host a State Banquet in his honour. Delegation level talks are expected to take place between the Hon'ble Prime Minister and the King of Spain. The King will be accompanied by a high level Ministerial, official and business delegation from Spain.
India-Spain bilateral trade in the year 2011 was close to US $ 5 billion, which represents a growth of almost 18% over 2010. Spanish investment in India is over US $ 1.15 billion. India's total investment in Spain is valued around Euro 605 million. Mutually beneficial opportunities for investments by Spanish companies in India exist in a number of sectors such as infrastructure, transport, energy, amongst others.
The Royal family of Spain has a strong and abiding interest in India. The visit of His Majesty is expected to carry forward the process of high-level interaction and deepen the relations between the two countries.

External Affairs Minister's address at the 67th UNGA
External Affairs Minister Shri S M Krishna addressed the 67th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York on October 1st, 2012.
In his address the Minister reiterated that terrorism remains the most important threat to global Peace and Security and called on the International Community to adopt a "zero tolerance" approach to terrorism in all its forms and work towards realizing a Comprehensive Convention on International Terrorism.
Reiterating that the people of Jammu and Kashmir have chosen and reaffirmed their destiny repeatedly through India's well established democratic processes, External Affairs Minister in his address to the committee of Nations wished to make it abundantly clear that Jammu and Kashmir is an integral part of India.

Indians detained in Kuwait
In response to a media query on the Indians detained in Kuwait, the Official Spokesperson said that today the Ministry of External Affairs has notified the Ambassador of Kuwait here in Delhi of the importance that the Ministry places on the early resolution of this issue. He also informed that the Ministry is in constant touch with the concerned authorities to identify all Indian nationals who have been perhaps detained due to possible violation of visa norms and to extend all possible support to them.

President Abbas and I have held useful discussions aimed at further expanding and strengthening the India-Palestine partnership, which is rooted in history and flows from our national ethos.
Support for the Palestinian cause has been a cornerstone of India's foreign policy. During our meeting, I reiterated India's firm support for the struggle of the Palestinian people to achieve a sovereign, independent, viable and united state of Palestine with East Jerusalem as its capital, living within secure and recognized borders, side by side and at peace with Israel.
India had played an active role in supporting the efforts of the State of Palestine to secure full membership status at UNESCO. We will continue to support Palestine's bid for full and equal membership of the United Nations.

The actress discussed the prevalent gender bias and how people never took offence when she was a part of such stories told from a male perspective. She pointed out how Pankaj Tripathi and Akshay Kumar starrer OMG 2 was supported by the same people who shamed her film, when somewhere they dealt with the same subject. Bhumi revealed if not getting any support from women within the industry disappointed her.
