आज की तारीख 13 दिसंबर को ही ठीक 17 साल पहले लोकतंत्र के मंदिर कही जाने वाली भारतीय संसद पर आतंकी हमला हुआ था. 13 दिसंबर 2001 को जब संसद का शीतकालीन सत्र चल रहा था, विपक्ष का खूब हंगामा कर रहा था जिसकी वजह से दोनों सदनों की कार्यवाही स्थगित कर दी गई थी. सदन में जब सेशन चल रहा हो तो अक्सर यही होता है, लेकिन उस दिन वहां मौजूद तमात नेताओं से लेकर कर्मचारियों और गार्ड किसे पता था कि आज के दिन को संसद पर आतंकी हमले के लिए याद किया जाएगा
