    Repo Rate: अगले हफ्ते झटका दे सकता है RBI, MPC Meeting में रेपो रेट बढ़ाने पर हो सकता है फैसला

    भारत में महंगाई चिंताजनक स्तर पर पहुंच गई हैं। इस बीच अगले हफ्ते से लोगों पर कर्ज का बोझ एक बार फिर बढ़ सकता है। दरअसल, अमेरिकी ब्रोकरेज एजेंसी का कहना है कि भारतीय रिजर्व बैंक की प्रस्तावित बैठक में रेपो रेट में और बढ़ोतरी की जा सकती है। यह फैसला ग्रोथ और अर्थव्यवस्था की स्थिति के आधार पर लिया जा सकता है। हाल ही में आरबीआई गवर्नर शक्तिकांत दास ने कहा कि हेडलाइन इन्फ्लेशन यानी मुद्रास्फीति, अप्रैल में हल्की गिरावट के बाद 7.04 फीसदी पर आई है, हालांकि ये अभी भी तय मानक से ऊपर बनी हुई है। ऐसे में महंगाई को काबू में करने के लिए सख्त कदम उठाए जा सकते हैं।

    RBI monetary policy: Key measures announced for Covid-battered hospitality sector

    In a bid to support revival of sectors hit most by the COVID-19 pandemic, RBI on Friday decided to open a separate liquidity window of Rs 15,000 crore for certain contact-intensive sectors like hotels and restaurants, tourism and aviation ancillary services. RBI also announced that the NACH system will be available on all days, including Sundays and bank holidays, effective from August 1, 2021. This means that come August 1, your salary credit into your bank account, auto-debits related to mutual fund SIPs, home/car/personal loans EMI payments, bill payments etc. will take place even on bank holidays.

    Stock barometer Sensex came down by nearly 200 points on Thursday after the RBI led by Governor Shaktikanta Das decided to lower GDP growth outlook for 2019-20. In its first policy review of this financial year, the six-member monetary policy committee (MPC) slashed repo rate by 25 basis points, which was along the expected lines. BSE's Sensex ended lower by 192 points, or 0.49 per cent, at 38,685 while NSE Nifty settled at 11,598, down 50 points, or 0.39 per cent.

    Belying market expectations of a rate hike, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) on Friday held its key lending rates intact on the back of an uncertain global economic scenario. "On the basis of an assessment of the current and evolving macroeconomic situation at its meeting today, the Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) decided to keep the policy repo rate under the liquidity adjustment facility (LAF) unchanged at 6.5 per cent," the RBI said in its fourth bi-monthly monetary policy statement. "Consequently, the reverse repo rate under the LAF remains at 6.25 per cent, and the marginal standing facility (MSF) rate and the Bank Rate at 6.75 per cent," the statement said. Watch now.     The Reserve Bank Friday lowered its retail inflation projection for the second half of the current fiscal to 3.9-4.5 per cent mainly because of an unusually benign trend in food prices. Food inflation has remained unusually benign, which imparts a downward bias to its trajectory in the second half of the year, the central bank said in its fourth bi-monthly monetary policy unveiled here. "Inflation is projected at 4 per cent in second quarter (July-September) 2018-19, 3.9-4.5 per cent in H2 (October-March) and 4.8 per cent in Q1:2019-20 (April-June), with risks somewhat to the upside," it added.
