सोनभद्र मे आज केंद्रीय पेट्रोलियम एवं प्राकृतिक गैस तथा आवास और शहरी कार्य मंत्री हरदीप सिंह पुरी ने आज उत्तर प्रदेश के सोनभद्र के अंतर्गत रॉबर्ट्सगंज के डायट प्रांगण में प्रधानमंत्री उज्ज्वला योजना के तहत गरीब महिलाओं को मुफ्त एलपीजी कनेक्शन वितरित किया। समाज कल्याण विभाग राज्यमंत्री संजीव गौड़, राज्यसभा सांसद राम शकल, सदर विधायक भूपेश चौबे, विधायक घोरावल डॉ0 अनिल कुमार मौर्य और बीजेपी जिलाध्यक्ष अजित चौबे ‘सेवा ही समर्पण है’ के अवसर पर उपस्थित रहे।
उज्ज्वला योजना 2.0 कार्यक्रम के शुभारंभ से पूर्व केंन्द्रीय मंत्री हरदीप सिंह पुरी ने आज डायट/शिक्षा एवं प्रशिक्षण संस्थान केन्द्र उरमौरा परिसर में पहुंचकर स्वास्थ्य सुविधाओं से युक्त एम्बुलेंस वैन को हरी झण्डी दिखाकर रवाना किया। इस वैन में एक डाॅक्टर, फार्मासिस्ट, लैब टेक्नीशियन एवं वार्ड ब्वाय तैनात रहेंगें। जो किसी भी आकस्मिक दुर्घटना स्थल पर पहुंचकर पीड़ित व्यक्ति को समुचित इलाज की व्यवस्था उपलब्ध करायी जायेगी।
इस अवसर पर केंद्रीय मंत्री हरदीप सिंह पुरी ने कहा कि “पिछले सात वर्षों में देश में एलपीजी कनेक्शनों की संख्या दोगुनी से अधिक हो गई है। 2014 में यह 14 करोड़ थी जो अब लगभग 30 करोड़ हो गई है। उन्होंने कहा कि मोदी सरकार ने ‘रिफॉर्म, परफॉर्म एंड ट्रांसफॉर्म के लिए एक बड़ी छलांग लगाई और 2016 में बलिया से पीएम उज्ज्वला योजना शुरू की और निर्धारित तिथि से करीब 8 महीने पहले 8 करोड़ का लक्ष्य हासिल किया था। जरूरतमंद परिवारों को ऐसे 1 करोड़ और कनेक्शन देने की योजना के दूसरे चरण में रिकॉर्ड समय में 97 लाख कनेक्शन वितरित किए जा चुके
है। जल्द ही हम 1 करोड़ का आंकड़ा पार कर लेंगे। श्री पुरी ने कहा कि उज्ज्वला योजना बेहद सफल रही है जिससे महिला सशक्तिकरण को और ज़ोर मिला है तथा महिलाओं को लकड़ी से निकलने वाले धुएं और कड़ी मेहनत से राहत मिली है। इसके साथ ही साथ उन्हें समाज में सम्मानजनक जीवन जीने में मदद भी मिली है। उत्तर प्रदेश में कल्यानकारी उज्ज्वला की सफलता इस बात से आँकी जा सकती है कि 2014 से पहले प्रदेश में एलपीजी कवरेज मात्र 48.1% थी जो आज 110.8% हो गयी है।”
