Organizations have resorted to using the GCC methodology, thus lessening the expenses of business activities. GCC technology has also allowed users to utilize the cloud space for storage purposes while decreasing its adverse effects. Therefore, minimizing the use of hazardous material has promoted the recyclability of factory waste products and maximized energy efficiency during a lifetime. The ultimate goal of GCC is to reduce the power consumption of large data centers. Average computer users also have the capability of implementing green practices during their data usage, such as: turning off their computers, recycling electronic waste products, refurbishing electronic devices instead of purchasing new ones, and using sleep mode while away from their computers. Green cloud computing has become an impressive solution that has aided in addressing matters of storage, processing of high-volume data at a lower cost, high speed, on-demand, and pay per use, etc.
Data centers are the main components of cloud computing. Its design is usually based on the network of computing and storage resources that enable the delivery of shared applications and data. There are three types of data centers; software as a service, infrastructure as a service, and platform as a service. OT security remains a challenge for the leaders
Organizations represented by the OT leaders who participated in a survey have been largely unsuccessful at preventing cyber criminals from intruding their systems. Nine out of 10 organizations experienced at least one intrusion in the past year, which is almost identical to the results of last year’s survey. Even though the pandemic was an unusual situation, a 90% rate of intrusion represents a significant problem that should concern OT leaders. There was a significant change in insider breach instances, which have increased to 42%. Unlike unintentional security accidents, such as an employee who clicks a bad link, bad actors have malicious intent, which means OT leaders should carefully consider who has access to their systems. Additionally, with many employees working from home, it is likely that the security issues related to home networks contributed to problems.
The fact is OT leaders were not prepared for changes related to the pandemic and had to quickly increase budgets and change processes. The two most important things are SOCs and NOCs which needs more staff and equipment because the pandemic accelerated digital transformation and increased the need for connectivity for secure remote access. The pandemic accelerated the need for third-party secure remote access because technical staff could not be on-site doing work in person. The survey showed significant growth in phishing attacks with 58% reporting this type of intrusion, up from 43% last year. The increase in phishing stems from attackers exploiting weaknesses related to the rapid changes to working that occurred at the beginning of 2020. No one was immune, and along with everyone else, OT organizations were affected. Increased digital connectivity of OT and IT networks rolls on.

At most companies, boards and senior executives acknowledge the serious threats that cyberattacks pose to their business. Organizations handling end-user data should be investing more in cybersecurity solutions and practices that will enhance their security posture. In today’s digitalized world, protecting end-customer information is vital. Implementing technology solutions such as ZTNA, DLP, XDR and security posture management is key. Complementing these with employee education around data handling, vigilance, tight security controls, processes and audits would help create the desired culture. The need of the hour is, in case of a breach, organizations should be transparent, reach out to affected users directly and share the scope of the impact of the breach, what actions end users need to take to address the breach impact and what measures the organization has taken/is taking to address current and future incidents. Besides instilling confidence in their end customers for continued business engagement, it would also help restore the damaged trust.

India ने रविवार को Andhra Pradesh के तट से K-4 Ballistic Missile का सफल टेस्ट किया। हालाँकि इस टेस्ट की आधिकारिक घोषणा न तो Defence Ministry ने की है और न ही Defence Research And Development Organisation रिसर्च एंड डेवलपमेंट आर्गेनाईजेशन ( डीआरडीओ) ने। इसकी घोषणा इसलिए नहीं हुई क्योंकि इसका निर्माण DRDO ने जिस प्रोजेक्ट के तहत किया है उसका नाम Black Project है क्योंकि अति संवेदनशील जानकारी होने के चलते इस प्रोजेक्ट में काफी गोपनीयता बरती गई है । K-4 एक सब मरीन लॉन्चड बैलिस्टिक मिसाइल (SLBM) है जिसे समुन्द्र की गहराईओं में पनडुब्बी से लॉन्च किया जा सकता है। जिस अरिहंत पनडुब्बी से K-4 को लॉन्च किया गया वो भारत की पहली स्वदेशी परमाणु पनडुब्बी है। K-4 का नाम भारत के मिसाइल मैन और दिवंगत पूर्व राष्ट्रपति डॉक्टर APJ अब्दुल कलाम के नाम पर रखा गया है, K का मतलब है कलाम।
