उत्तर प्रदेश के गाजीपुर जिले में रविवार को पुलिस ने नकली नोट छापने की फैक्ट्री का भंडाफोड़ किया। पुलिस ने अंतरराज्यीय गिरोह के छह बदमाशों को गिरफ्तार किया। कब्जे से दो लाख दस हजार आठ सौ के नकली नोट और नोट बनाने के उपकरण बरामद किए।
एसपी ओमवीर सिंह ने बताया कि शहर कोतवाल तेज बहादुर सिंह और स्वाट टीम प्रभारी रामाश्रय राय देर शाम क्षेत्र में भ्रमण कर रहे थे। इसी दौरान मुखबिर से मिली सूचना के आधार पर स्वाट और पुलिस की संयुक्त टीम ने घेराबंदी कर आरटीआई ग्राउंड के पास से नकली नोट बनाने वाले गिरोह के छह आरोपियों को गिरफ्तार किया।

आज के समय में लोग कैश पर अपनी निर्भरता को कम करते हुए पेमेंट के डिजिटल तरीकों का इस्तेमाल ज्यादा कर रहे हैं। अगर कैश की जरूरत होती भी है लोग ATM पहुंचकर अपनी जरूरत के हिसाब से फटाफट पैसे निकाल लेते हैं। हालांकि इस दौरान अगर कटे-फटे नोट निकल आए तो लोग परेशान हो जाते हैं। कई बार जानकारी के अभाव में वे इन कट-फटे नोटों को घर में रख देते हैं या नोट बदलने की गैर-अधिकृत दुकानों पर नुकसान उठाकर बदलवा लाते हैं। ज्यादातर लोगों को इस बात की जानकारी नहीं है कि इस मामले में बैंक से नोट बदलवाना कितना आसान है। लोगों की सुविधा के लिए रिजर्व बैंक ऑफ इंडिया ने कई नियम बनाए हैं।
