Last draft of National Citizen Register (NRC) in Assam was released on July 30, 2018. In order to get involved in this, 3.29 crore people had applied in Assam, out of which 40.07 lakh applicants were not available. Since then, there has been a ruckus from Parliament to Road. All opposition parties have been attacked on the government. On this, Home Minister Rajnath Singh had said that the draft of the national citizen registration for Assam is completely neutral and those whose names are not included in it do not need to panic because they will get an opportunity to prove Indian citizenship.
