ਓਲੰਪਿਕ ਖੇਡਾਂ ‘ਚ ਭਾਰਤ ਲਈ ਤਿੰਨ ਵਾਰ ਹਾਕੀ 'ਚ ਸੋਨ ਤਮਗਾ ਜਿੱਤਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਬਲਬੀਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਸੀਨੀਅਰ ਕਾਫ਼ੀ ਬਿਮਾਰ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਨੇ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਚੰਡੀਗੜ੍ਹ ਦੇ ਪੀਜੀਆਈ ਦਾਖਿਲ ਕਰਵਾਇਆ ਗਿਅੇ।ਬਲਬੀਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਸੀਨੀਅਰ ਦੀ ਤਬੀਅਤ ਕਾਫ਼ੀ ਨਾਸਾਜ਼ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਲਈ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਸੀਯੂ 'ਚ ਭਰਤੀ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।94 ਸਾਲਾ ਬਲਬੀਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਚੰਗੇ ਖਿਡਾਰੀ ਹੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਿੰਦਾ ਦਿਲੀ ਦੀ ਵੀ ਜਿਊਂਦੀ ਜਾਗਦੀ ਮਿਸਾਲ ਵੀ ਨੇ।
ਸਪੋਸਕਮੈਨ ਟੀ.ਵੀ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲਬਾਤ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਅਜਿਹੀਆਂ ਕਈ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਸਾਂਝੀਆਂ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਜੋ ਉਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਜਿੰਦਾ ਦਿਲੀ ਨੂੰ ਬਿਆਨ ਕਰਦੀਆਂ ਨੇ।ਨਿੱਘੇ ਸੁਭਾਅ ਦੇ ਮਾਲਿਕ ਬਲਬੀਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਦਾ ਕਹਿਣਾ ਕਿ ਅਮੀਰ ਦੀ ਮਦਦ ਸਭ ਕਰਦੇ ਨੇ ਪਰ ਗਰੀਬਾਂ ਦੀ ਮਦਦ ਕਰਨੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਹੈ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਹੋ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਮਦਦ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਗਰੀਬ ਉੱਪਰ ਉੱਠ ਜਾਵੇ।ਇਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਖੁੱਲੇ ਸੁਭਾਅ ਦੇ ਮਾਲਕ ਬਲਬੀਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਇੰਟਰਵਿਊ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਹੱਸਦੇ-2 ਆਖਿਆ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਤਕਰੀਬਨ 100 ਸਾਲ ਜਿੰਦਾ ਰਹਿਣਗੇ ਹਾਲਾਂਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਇਹ ਵੀ ਆਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਸਭ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਹੱਥ ਹੈ। ਓਲੰਪਿਕ ਖੇਡਾਂ ‘ਚ ਬਲਬੀਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਭਾਰਤ ਦੀ ਝੋਲੀ ਤਿੰਂਨ ਸੋਨ ਤਗਮੇ ਪਾਏ, ਇਸ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ 1948 ‘ਚ ਹੋਈਆਂ ਲੰਡਨ ਖੇਡਾਂ , 1952 ‘ਚ ਹੋਈਆਂ ਹੈਲਸਿੰਕੀ ਖੇਡਾਂ ਤੇ 1956 ‘ਚ ਹੋਈਆਂ ਮੈਲਬੌਰਨ ਖੇਡਾਂ ਜਿਸ ‘ਚ ਉਹ ਕਪਤਾਨ ਸਨ ‘ਚ ਸੋਨੇ ਦਾ ਤਗਮਾ ਹਾਸਿਲ ਕੀਤਾ। ਹਾਕੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੇਮਿਸਾਲ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਲਈ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਨ 1957 ਵਿੱਚ ਪਦਮ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਨਾਲ ਨਿਵਾਜਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ ਬਲਬੀਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਹਾਕੀ ਦੇ ਜਾਦੂਗਰ ਧਿਆਨ ਚੰਦ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣਾ ਰੌਲ ਮਾਡਲ ਮਨਦੇ ਸਨ।ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਦਿੱਲਾਂ ‘ਤੇ ਰਾਜ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਇਸ ਖਿਡਾਰੀ ਦੀ ਸਿਹਤਯਾਬੀ ਲਈ ਉਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਮਰਥਕ ਦੁਆਵਾਂ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਨੇ।ਸਪੋਕਸਮੈਨ ਟੀ.ਵੀ ਵੀ ਇਸ ਜਿੰਦਾ ਦਿਲ ਖਿਡਾਰੀ ਦੇ ਜ਼ਲਦ ਠੀਕ ਹੋਣ ਦੀ ਦੁਆ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
