'Flashback Friday', this week brings to you, the history of an English rock band formed in Liverpool in 1960, that in a course of 8 years changed not only rock and roll, but also music for all times to come.
John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr, came together to ultimately become the most influential faces of rock n roll culture and embodiment of ideals shared by the era's socio cultural revolutions.
On July 6, 1957, John Lennon, the leader of a band called 'Quarry Men' was introduced to Paul McCartney. Impressed by McCartney's ability to play the Guitar, John asked him to join 'Quarry Men'. Shortly after McCartney joined, he recommended George Harrison to Lennon but Lennon refused to even audition him as he thought he was too young to join them. Harrison was 14. It was on February 6, 1958, when Harrison was just 19 days short of his 15th birthday that Lennon relented and auditioned George Harrison.
