People living near the coastal region in Srikakulam, Andhra Pradesh resumed their normal life on September 27, a day after they experienced strong winds as 'Cyclone Gulab' made landfall in coastal regions of Odisha and Andhra Pradesh.Coastal region witnessed strong winds and heavy rainfall due to ‘Cyclone Gulab’. Due to cyclonic storm many trees, electric poles were uprooted.

Cyclone Tauktae: 184 Crew Members Of Barge P305 Rescued | Catch News
Indian Navy rescued crew of Barge P305 off the coast of Mumbai. They were seen walking out of INS Kochi after arriving in Mumbai on May 19. About 184 people have been rescued, out of which 125 were on INS Kochi. Commanding Officer of INS Kochi, Capt Sachin Sequeira said, “We had inputs that Barge P305 was in distress, approximately 35-40 miles from Mumbai.

Cyclone Tauktae: No Death Reported In Gujarat, States NDRF | Catch News
National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) director general SN Pradhan on May 18 stated that no deaths have been reported in Gujarat due to cyclone Tauktae. He said, 'The cyclone weakened into a cyclonic storm level and probably in another couple of hours it will become a cyclonic system which is a much lower category and by the time it reaches Gujarat coast in the late evening, it would have become a depression.

Cyclone Tauktae has intensified into ‘Very Severe Cyclonic Storm’ (VSCS) and is expected to reach Gujarat coast by May 18. In the latest update IMD said, “Cyclone Tauktae intensified into a VSCS (very severe cyclonic storm), lay centred at 2:30 am today about 150 km southwest of Panjim-Goa, 490 km south of Mumbai, 730 km SSWest of Veraval (Gujarat), to cross Gujarat coast between Porbandar and Mahuva (Bhavnagar district) around May 18 early morning.”
