कृषि कानून बिल को लेकर किसानों के भारत बन्द के आवाहन पर सोमवार को कौशाम्बी जिला मुख्यालय में किसानों ने प्रदर्शन किया और चार सूत्रीय मांगों का राज्यपाल को संबोधित एक पत्र एसडीएम को सौपा । किसानों के विरोध में लागू किये गए तीनो काले कानून वापस लिए जाने के लिए किसानो ने जिला मुख्यालय मंझनपुर में प्रदर्शन किया।पिछले दस माह से लगातार किसानों का धरना प्रदर्शन चल रहा है।अपनी मांगों को लेकर किसानो ने किसान कानून बिल वापस लिए जाने,पेट्रोल डीजल की बढ़ती महंगाई सहित चार सूत्रीय मांगों का एक ज्ञापन एसडीएम को सौपा है।किसानों के प्रदर्शन को लेकर जिले भर में पुलिस फोर्स प्रमुख चौराहों पर तैनात रही भारी वाहनों के प्रवेश को भी एहतियातन रोका गया है।जिले भर के प्रमुख चौराहों पर भारी संख्या में पुलिस बल तैनात रही।

भारतीय किसान यूनियन (भूपेंद्र मान) के प्रदेश अध्यक्ष गुणिप्रकाश ठाकुर ने गुरनाम सिंह चढूनी को सजायाफ्ता और जमानत-जप्ती बताते हुए ऐलान किया कि, हम जल्द ही कुरुक्षेत्र में मुख्यमंत्री मनोहर लाल का किसानों के साथ कार्यक्रम करवाएंगे। इस कार्यक्रम की सुरक्षा में पुलिस बल की कोई जरूरत नहीं होगी, बल्कि खुद किसान यूनियन के नेता और किसानों के कार्यकर्ता इस कार्यक्रमय की चढूनी की चेलों से हिफाजत करेंगे। लोकतंत्र में सबको अपनी बात रखने का हक है।।
