बॉलीवुड की दिग्गज अभिनेत्री सुरेखा सीकरी के निधन के बाद बॉलीवुड में शोक की लहर है। इसी बीच एक्टर मनोज वाजपेयी, सुशांत सिंह ,मनोज जोशी, गुलशन ग्रोवर, रणदीप सिंह हुड्डा और एक्ट्रेस नीना गुप्ता,राखी सावंत दीया मिर्जा, सहित कई और सितारों ने दिवंगत अभिनेत्री के उम्दा अभिनय को याद करते हुए उन्हें भावुक श्रद्धांजलि दी है। सुरेखा सीकरी उत्तर प्रदेश से थीं। लेकिन उनका बचपन अल्मोड़ा और नैनीताल में बीता। उनके पिता एयरफोर्स मे थे और मां एक टीचर थीं। 1971 में सुरेखा ने नेशनल स्कूल ऑफ ड्रामा से पढ़ाई की। उन्हें 1989 में संगीत नाटक अकादमी अवॉर्ड से नवाजा गया। उन्होंने अपने करियर की शुरुआत 1978 में पॉलिटिकल ड्रामा फिल्म ‘किस्सा कुर्सी का’ से की। उन्हें तमस, मम्मो और बधाई हो के लिए 3 बार बेस्ट सपोर्टिंग एक्ट्रेस के लिए राष्ट्रीय फिल्म पुरस्कार मिला था। सुरेखा सीरियल ‘बालिका वधू’ में दादी सा का किरदार निभाया था। इसके अलावा उन्होंने सीरियल ‘एक था राजा एक थी रानी’, ‘सात फेरे’, ‘बनेगी अपनी बात’ और ‘सीआईडी’ में काम किया। सुरेखा की मुख्य फिल्मों में ‘किस्सा कुर्सी का’, ‘तमस’, ‘सलीम लंगड़े पे मत रो’, ‘मम्मो’, ‘सरदारी बेगम’, ‘सरफरोश’, ‘जुबैदा’, ‘बधाई हो’ और ‘घोस्ट स्टोरीज’ हैं। सुरेखा को लेकर ये कहना गलत नहीं होगा कि उन्होंने टीवी के लगभग सभी सीरियलों में दादी या बड़ी मां के किरदार में अपने अभिनय का एक अनोखा ही रुप दिखाया। और अपने अभिनय के दम पर सभी के दिलों पर राज किया। उनकी कमी कोई पूरा नहीं कर सकता।
