कोबरा दिगेंद्र कुमार देश का वह नायक जिन्हें 30 साल की उम्र में तत्कालीन राष्ट्रपति केआर नारायणन ने देश के दूसरे सबसे बड़े गैलेंट्री अवॉर्ड महावीर चक्र से नवाजा था.कारगिल युद्ध के दौरान उन्होंने अपनी टीम के सहयोग से 48 पाकिस्तानी सैनिकों को मारकर न केवल देश को बड़ी कामयाबी दिलाई बल्कि पांच गोलियां लगने के बावजूद पाकिस्तानी मेजर की गर्दन काटते हुए तोलोलिंग की चोटी पुन: फतह की और 13 जून की सुबह तिरंगा लहरा दिया. देखिए पूरा वीडियो कारगिल के हीरो कोबरा नायक दिगेंद्र कुमार के साथ.

Cobra Digendra Kumar, the hero of the country who at the age of 30 was awarded the country's second highest gallantry award Mahavir Chakra by the then President KR Narayanan. During the Kargil war, he not only brought great success to the country by killing 48 Pakistani soldiers with the help of his team, but despite being hit by five bullets, recaptured the peak of Tololing by beheading the Pakistani Major and hoisted the tricolor on the morning of 13th June.
