Jimmy Shergill has survived in the industry for over 30 years and in a conversation with Bollywood Bubble host Akash Bhatnagar, the actor reflected on his glorious journey. He recalled debuting in the 90s and the 5 years wait till the success that came with Mohabbatein. He insisted that star kids face more pressure when entering in the industry and said that a film like Mohabbatein shouldn’t be remade. Jimmy shared why his career remained more consistent than his fellow debutantes in Mohabbatein and the role Gulzar saab played in it. Jimmy had his journey from playing the leading man to a supporting character, and he reflected on the insecurity he faced post being side-lined from the former category and returning signing amounts of films to not getting stereotyped. He revealed the advice Aditya Chopra gave him that helped him not to rush to shed his chocolate boy image. Jimmy gave a hilarious take on the tag that he gets, ‘the man whose girl runs away’. The actor cut his hair against his religion and parents’ wishes when he was 18, and he recalled the phase when his parents didn’t speak to him for 2 years.
