Dy CM inaugurate 65th All India Police Hockey championship

Highlighting the role played by police in ensuring peace in the state, the Deputy Chief Minister Dr Nirmal Singh today said the state’s police force has always been upfront in ensuring sustainment of peace and also thwarting the designs of anti-national elements, besides contributing in other spheres of life.

The Deputy Chief Minister was speaking at the inaugural function of 65th All India Police Hockey Tournament organized by Jammu and Kashmir Police at KK Hakku Stadium.

  • National Championship | Hockey India | Team Himachal |

    On Sunday, Himachal Pradesh also started the process of selecting its team for the National Championship being organized by Hockey India in Pune, Maharashtra from March 13 to March 23. About 51 hockey players from across the state sweated hard to get a place in the team on the Astroturf hockey field of Indira Gandhi Sports Complex at Una district headquarters. During this period, Yo-Yo test was also taken to check the fitness of the hockey players. On this occasion, Himachal Hockey General Secretary Ramesh Pathania and Chief Selector Ajit Singh along with hockey coach Ashish Sen were also present.
