NHM employees continue to protest in Srinagar
The Joint Employees Coordination Committee of NHM, RNTCP, NACO and other Schemes of Health Services extended their 288hrs Sit-in Protest for further 144hrs from January 01 to January 06 2018, throughout State.
The spokesman said protesting employees intensify their protest and demands regularisation of their services in Partap Park, Srinagar.
Despite the cold weather, the mammoth gathering of employees raised their demand and tried to take protest rally towards PDP Headquarter at Gupkar Road, Srinagar.

A large number of National Health Mission (NHM) employees from all over the State under the banner of All J&K NHM Employees Association today held a peaceful protest here at Exhibition Ground demanding regularisation of their services.
National Health Mission (NHM) employees today highlighted their demands.
Rohit Seth, provincial president of All JK NHM Employees Association and senior leader of State Government Employees' Joint Action Committee, Subash Verma, said that NHM staff is being ignored for many years by the Health Department and despite approaching to all the concerned higher officers time to time for the redressal of the genuine demands of the employees, the authority concerned has not responded. He said that their demands are that all the employees who have completed 5 years of service must be brought on permanent establishment and the rest of the staff be given equal salary at par with permanent employees in reference to the supreme court's verdict i.e. equal pay for equal work till their regularisation. He also said that the minimum 10% increment should be given to all the NHM staff yearly, transfer policy should be framed for them and the benefit of facilities like provident fund, maternity leave, baby care leave, medical leave, earned leave, medical Insurance, life insurance, etc. should also be given to them.च्या कडून Jammu Links News | 482 दृश्ये

NHM employees stage protest, demand regularisation
SRINAGAR: Contractual employees working under the National Health Mission (NHM) scheme in Jammu and Kashmir today staged a protest here demanding regularisation of their services.
Hundreds of employees, including doctors, paramedical staff and technicians of the health department, who are working on contractual basis under the NHM, from different districts of the Valley assembled at the Pratap Park in the commercial hub Lal Chowk here and started protesting, officials said.
They said the protesting employees shouted slogans against the state government and demanded their services be regularised.

Srinagar-Jammu highway closed due to landslide
JAMMU LINKS NEWS | Fresh landslide in Udhampur district forced the closure of the Srinagar-Jammu highway on Monday.
A Traffic Department official said no traffic would be allowed on the highway following the landslides that occurred on Kheri road in Udhampur.

Terrorists abduct Pulwama man from his residence, cops find his bullet-riddled body in nearby fields
JAMMU LINKS NEWS | Terrorists on Monday barged into the house of a resident and abducted him in Jammu and Kashmir. The incident took place in Pulwama's Murran. This incident took place on Sunday night.
Identified as Gulzar Bhat, his bullet-riddled body was recovered from nearby fields.
