JAMMU: A massive protest rally was taken out by the PHE daily wagers, ITI trained and CP workers in here on Monday in support of their demands.
A large number of temporary workers of PHE Department from various Divisions and PHE Sub Divisions under the banner of All J&K PHE ITI Trained and CP Workers Association ( Jammu Province), led by its president , Tanveer Hussain assembled at Chief Engineer’s office at B C Road and started their protest rally towards civil secretariat.
The agitating workers were carrying banners and placards in their hands and raising loud slogans in support of their demands.

JAMMU LINKS NEWS | JAMMU: PHE daily wagers on Monday held strong protest demonstration and took out a rally in winter capital city here.
A large number of PHE workers including ITI trained and CP workers, besides those who have donated lands for PHE stations, water tanks etc, under the leadership of Tanveer Hussain, president of the Association, assembled near Press Club here in the morning and then started protest march towards the office of Chief Engineer PHE, BC Road near KC Crossing.
They were shouting slogans in support of their demands of regularization and release of pending wages of the workers, expediting process of regularization under SRO which is needed to be issued with out any delay. Tanveer alleged that there was great resentment among the workers for causing delay in their regularization. Many workers were carrying banners and placards in their hands projecting their demands.

The police today foiled the Secretariat `Gherao' of PHE daily rated, ITI trained and CP workers in Jammu. The Government has remained unmoved even after the indefinite strike entered 41st consecutive day today. The general public is suffering badly in many areas of the Jammu region and the Government has totally failed to solve the issue even after the lapse of so much of time. Srinagar-Jammu highway closed due to landslide
JAMMU LINKS NEWS | Fresh landslide in Udhampur district forced the closure of the Srinagar-Jammu highway on Monday.
A Traffic Department official said no traffic would be allowed on the highway following the landslides that occurred on Kheri road in Udhampur.
"Landslide clearance is in progress. Terrorists abduct Pulwama man from his residence, cops find his bullet-riddled body in nearby fields
JAMMU LINKS NEWS | Terrorists on Monday barged into the house of a resident and abducted him in Jammu and Kashmir. The incident took place in Pulwama's Murran. This incident took place on Sunday night.
Identified as Gulzar Bhat, his bullet-riddled body was recovered from nearby fields.
A case has been registered in connection with the incident.
