J&K Governor hosts NCC Republic Day Contingent

The J&K NCC Directorate Republic Day Contingent, comprising 109 NCC Cadets from all the three regions of Jammu and Kashmir, met Governor N.N. Vohra and Mrs. Usha Vohra, the First Lady, at Raj bhavan here today.

The NCC Contingent was led by Major General Nilendra Kumar, Additional Director General, National Cadet Corps, Jammu and Kashmir Directorate.

The Cadets presented a colourful cultural programme which is planned to be a part of the presentations which this Contingent shall make at the National Republic Day Camp at New Delhi in January, 2018. Governor complimented Maj. Gen. Kumar and his officers on the high quality of the cultural items presented by the Cadets and wished the Contingent high success in the various competitions in which it would be participating at the forthcoming Republic Day Camp.

    A Traffic Department official said no traffic would be allowed on the highway following the landslides that occurred on Kheri road in Udhampur.
