JAMMU: On the eve of Republic Day, Director General of Police Dr. S.P Vaid today launched J&K police’s News App at Police headquarters here this afternoon.

DGP while speaking on the occasion said that it is an effort to reach people as per their convenience, efficiently and effectively.

He said this app besides amalgamating all the important Social platforms of Jammu and Kashmir Police at one place viz; Facebook, YouTube, Twitter and Instagram will also be very useful for the general public to connect with the senior officers of the police and get their problems registered and subsequently redressed.

A search for video sharing platform TikTok on Google's Play Store and Apple's App Store did not show the app. The government, on Monday, had asked tech giants Google and Apple to comply with the Madras High Court's order that had banned popular mobile app TikTok, according to sources.
