Doda police today launched a plantation drive under the supervision of SSP Doda Mohammad Shabir. The drive was started with the motive to aware people and to promote plantation at various Police posts across the district.

    Massive tree plantation drive launched in Leh

    As many as 4,000 saplings of Willow and Umbu were planted during the plantation drive. Hundreds of volunteers and Buddhist monks were seen taking part in the drive which was carried out under the chairmanship of Ladakh Environment & Health Organisation (LEHO).

    Sheeri Baramulla: March 12: In order to make Baramulla GREEN, District Police Training cantre Sheeri Baramulla in collaboration with the Forest Department launched a special plantation drive in all the peripheries of Police establishments. The drive, kick started from police Training cantre Sheeri Baramulla where SSP Training cantre sheeri Shri Farooq Ahamd Dar , DFO Baramulla Javid Ahamd and other officers planted different saplings. SSP and DFO requested participants to go for maximum plantation of saplings during current month as it is favourable month for planting trees.

    JAMMU LINKS NEWS | Fresh landslide in Udhampur district forced the closure of the Srinagar-Jammu highway on Monday.

    A Traffic Department official said no traffic would be allowed on the highway following the landslides that occurred on Kheri road in Udhampur.
