Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee inaugurate the 24th Kolkata International Film Festival (KIFF) on Saturday at the Netaji Indoor Stadium.
The inauguration programme will be attended by the famous Iranian director Majid Majidi, Dadasaheb Phalke awardee Soumitra Chatterjee, Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan, the State’s brand ambassador, Shah Rukh Khan, as well as Waheeda Rehman, Nandita Das, Sanjay Dutt and Mahesh Bhatt.

    കുട്ടികളുടെ അന്താരാഷ്ട്ര ചലച്ചിത്രമേള (ഐ.സി.എഫ്.എഫ്.കെ 2018) ഇന്ന് അവസാനിക്കും



    മെയ് 14 ന് ആരംഭിച്ച കുട്ടികളുടെ അന്താരാഷ്ട്ര ചലച്ചിത്രമേള (ഐ.സി.എഫ്.എഫ്.കെ 2018) നാളെ അവസാനിക്കും. സംസ്ഥാന ശിശുക്ഷേമ സമിതിയുടെ ആഭിമുഖ്യത്തില്‍ ചലച്ചിത്ര അക്കാദമി, ചലച്ചിത്ര വികസന കോര്‍പ്പറേഷന്‍, ബാലസാഹിത്യ ഇന്‍സ്റ്റിറ്റ്യൂട്ട് എന്നീ സ്ഥാപനങ്ങളുടെ സഹകരണത്തോടെയാണ് ചലച്ചിത്രോത്സവം സംഘടിപ്പിക്കുന്നത്. ടാഗോര്‍, കൈരളി, ശ്രീ, നിള, കലാഭവന്‍ എന്നീ അഞ്ച് തിയേറ്ററുകളിലാണ് ചലച്ചിത്രമേള നടക്കുന്നത് . ലോകോത്തര ചലച്ചിത്രങ്ങളടക്കം 140 കുട്ടികളുടെ ചലച്ചിത്രങ്ങള്‍ പ്രദര്‍ശിപ്പിക്കുന്നു . അഞ്ച് തിയേറ്ററുകളില്‍ ദിവസേന നാലു പ്രദര്‍ശനങ്ങള്‍ വീതം, ഒരു ദിവസം 20 ചലച്ചിത്രങ്ങള്‍ പ്രദര്‍ശിപ്പിക്കുന്നു. , വിദേശീയരും, തദ്ദേശീയരുമായ നാലായിരത്തിലധികം ഡെലിഗേറ്റുകള്‍ ചലച്ചിത്രമേളയില്‍ പങ്കെടുത്തു . സംസ്ഥാനത്തെ ആദിവാസി മേഖലയില്‍ നിന്നുള്ള കുട്ടികള്‍ ഉള്‍പ്പെടെ 800-ഓളം കുട്ടികളെ താമസിപ്പിച്ച് ചലച്ചിത്രമേള കാണുന്നതിന് സൗകര്യം ഒരുക്കിയിരുന്നു . സംസ്ഥാനത്തെ വിവിധ അനാഥാലയങ്ങളില്‍ കഴിയുന്ന 500-ഓളം കുട്ടികള്‍ക്കും ചലച്ചിത്രോത്സവം കാണാന്‍ അവസരം ഒരുക്കി. പഠിക്കാനും ആസ്വദിക്കാനും കഴിയുന്ന ചിത്രങ്ങളാണ് തെരഞ്ഞെടുത്തിട്ടുള്ളത്.
    സംസ്ഥാന ശിശുക്ഷേമ സമിതിയുടെ കുട്ടികളുടെ രാജ്യാന്തര ചലച്ചിത്രമേളയുടെ മീഡിയ സെൽ ഉദ്‌ഘാടനം കൈരളി തിയേറ്ററിൽ ഗാനരചയിതാവും തിരക്കഥാകൃത്തുമായ ശ്രീകുമാരൻ തമ്പി നിർവഹിച്ചു. സിനിമ -സാഹിത്യ -രാഷ്ട്രീയ മേഖലയിലെ പ്രശസ്തരുടെ സാന്നിധ്യം കുട്ടികള്‍ക്ക് ആവേശം പകര്‍ന്നു .ഇടവേളകള്‍ പോലും ആഘോഷമാക്കിയ മേളക്ക് നാളെ തിരശ്ശീല വീഴും
