Bugatti has transformed a virtual project into tangible reality. For the French super sports car brand will be presenting its virtual concept Bugatti Vision Gran Turismo, which it developed in cooperation with Polyphony Digital Inc., creator of the Gran Turismo video game franchise, as a real show car.

The Bugatti Vision Gran Turismo show car will be displayed from 17-27 September 2015 at the Bugatti exhibit in hall 3.0 of the IAA grounds in Frankfurt am Main.

    വേഗതയുടെ പര്യായമായിരുന്നു ബ്യുഗാട്ടി ഷിറോണ്‍ ഇതുവരെ. എന്നാല്‍ ആ റെക്കോഡ് തിരുത്തിക്കുറിച്ചിരിക്കുകയാണ് ഇപ്പോള്‍ സ്വീഡിഷ് സൂപ്പര്‍കാര്‍ നിര്‍മ്മാണ കമ്പനിയായ കൊഹ്നിസെഗ്.

    ഡെന്‍മാര്‍ക്കിലെ വാന്‍ഡേല്‍ എയര്‍ഫീല്‍ഡിലാണ് ചരിത്രം തിരുത്തി കുറിക്കപ്പെട്ടത്. പൂജ്യത്തില്‍ നിന്ന് 400 കിലോമീറ്റര്‍ വേഗത്തിലെത്താന്‍ ബുഗാട്ടി 41.96 സെക്കന്‍ഡുകള്‍ എടുത്തപ്പോള്‍ കൊഹ്നിസെഗിന്റെ അഗേറ ആര്‍.എസിന് വേണ്ടി വന്നത് വെറും 36.44 സെക്കന്‍ഡുകള്‍ മാത്രം.ബ്രേക്കിങ് സമയത്തിലും ബുഗട്ടിയേക്കാളും കുറവാണ് കൊഹ്നിസെഗ് എടുത്തത്. 400 കിലോമീറ്റര്‍ വേഗത്തില്‍ നിന്ന് തിരിച്ച പൂജ്യത്തിലെത്താന്‍ ബുഗാട്ടിക്ക് വേണ്ടിവന്നത് 32.6 സെക്കന്‍ഡായിരുന്നു. എന്നാല്‍ കൊഹ്നിസെഗിന് 26.88 സെക്കന്‍ഡുമാത്രമേ വേണ്ടിവന്നുള്ളൂ.

    The Mercedes-Benz "Concept IAA" (Intelligent Aerodynamic Automobile) is two cars in one: an aerodynamics world champion with a Cd value of 0.19 and a four-door coupe embodying irresistible design. The study, which is celebrating its world premiere at the Frankfurt International Motor Show, switches automatically from design mode to aerodynamic mode when the vehicle reaches a speed of 80 km/h, whereby numerous aerodynamics measures alter the shape of the vehicle.

    The Mercedes "Concept IAA" switches automatically from design mode to aerodynamic mode, whereupon numerous active aerodynamic measures alter its appearance. As a result of this transformation, the Cd value improves from 0.25 to 0.19 - a new world record for a four-door four-seater. The frontal area totals 2.16 m2.

    The front flaps in the front bumper in front of the wheel arches move outwards by 25 millimetres and 20 millimetres to the rear, up to the rear edge of the wheel crescent. This substantially improves the inflow of air to the wheels and the flow of air over the front wheel arches.

    The louvre in the front bumper moves 60 millimetres to the rear, improving the flow of air towards the underbody.

    The Active Rims alter their cupping with the aid of centrifugal force from 55 to 0 millimetres, transforming them from sporty 5-spoke wheels into flat disc wheels offering exemplary aerodynamic characteristics.

    In conjunction with the diffuser, the rear extension which is extendable by up to 390 millimetres ensures that the air flow hugs the vehicle more closely and that the after-flow zone behind the vehicle's rear end is substantially smaller. This results in a considerable reduction in drag. The rear extension in "boat tail" design consists of eight segments produced in CFRP in a sandwich structure which close to form a ring.

  • Kia Engines and Transmission - IAA 2015

    For the launch of the 2016 Cee'd, Kia is introducing its all-new 1.0-litre 'T-GDI' (turbo gasoline direct injection) engine. This new downsized, three-cylinder power unit has been engineered to improve fuel consumption and emissions, while offering strong, willing performance and immediate responses to driver input.
    The new engine produces 98 horsepower and 172 Nm torque, while the higher powered 1.0-litre T-GDI produces 118 hp and the same 172 Nm torque.

    Offering a higher power output than other models in the range, the Optima GT will be powered by a 2.0-litre T-GDI (turbocharged gasoline direct injection) engine.

    The new Sportage features the brand's all-new seven-speed double-clutch transmission (DCT), recently launched in the enhanced Kia cee'd and available exclusively on models equipped with the new 175 hp 1.6-litre T-GDI engine. Kia's new DCT is capable of handling the higher torque outputs of the turbocharged engine and offers a sportier driving experience.

  • 2016 Kia Optima 1.7 CRDi - Exterior and Interior Walkaround (IAA 2015)

    The fourth-generation Optima, which will go on sale across Europe in Q4 2015, boasts a modern, new exterior, a bold interior design with more space for all occupants, an array of new technologies and a wide choice of efficient powertrains.

    The upgraded 1.7-litre CRDi diesel engine is expected to account for the majority of European sales from launch. Carried over from the existing model, it receives a range of modifications for its application in the all-new Optima, resulting in greater power output and torque, and reduced emissions.
    Now producing 139 horsepower (up from 134 hp) and 340 Nm torque (increased from 325 Nm), the upgraded 1.7-litre diesel engine offers an improvement to engine response, low end torque, efficiency and NVH. The upgraded engine boasts far lower CO2 emissions, reduced by 14% to 110 g/km (when fitted with manual transmission and Kia's Idle Stop/Go fuel-saving technology).
