    അടിയന്തര ലാന്‍ഡിങ്ങിനായി എയര്‍സ്ട്രിപ്പുകള്‍ നിര്‍മിക്കാനൊരുങ്ങി കേന്ദ്ര ഗതാഗതമന്ത്രാലയം.



    തന്ത്രപ്രധാന മേഖലകളിലൂടെ കടന്നുപോകുന്ന ദേശീയപാതകളില്‍ യുദ്ധവിമാനങ്ങളുടെ അടിയന്തര ലാന്‍ഡിങ്ങിനായി എയര്‍സ്ട്രിപ്പുകള്‍ നിര്‍മിക്കാനൊരുങ്ങി കേന്ദ്ര ഗതാഗതമന്ത്രാലയം.
    29 എയര്‍ സ്ട്രിപ്പുകളാണ് ഇത്തരത്തില്‍ നിര്‍മിക്കുകയെന്ന് അധികൃതരെ ഉദ്ധരിച്ച് ഹിന്ദുസ്ഥാന്‍ ടൈംസ് റിപ്പോര്‍ട്ട് ചെയ്തു. നിലവില്‍ എയര്‍സ്ട്രിപ്പുള്ള ഏക ദേശീയ പാത ഉത്തര്‍പ്രദേശിലാണുള്ളത്. ലഖ്‌നൗ-ആഗ്രാ എക്‌സ്പ്രസ് വേയിലാണ് ഇത് പ്രവര്‍ത്തിക്കുന്നത്.
    അന്താരാഷ്ട്ര അതിര്‍ത്തി പങ്കിടുന്ന സംസ്ഥാനങ്ങളായ ജമ്മു കശ്മീര്‍, പഞ്ചാബ്, ഹരിയാണ, രാജസ്ഥാന്‍, ഗുജറാത്ത്, ഉത്തരാഖണ്ഡ്, മണിപ്പുര്‍, പശ്ചിമ ബെംഗാള്‍ എന്നീ സംസ്ഥാനങ്ങളിലെ ദേശീയപാതകളിലും റോഡുകളിലും എയര്‍ സ്ട്രിപ്പുകള്‍ നിര്‍മിക്കാന്‍ ഉദ്ദേശിക്കുന്നുണ്ട്. കൂടാതെ ഒഡീഷ, ജാര്‍ഖണ്ഡ്, ഛത്തീസ്ഢ് സംസ്ഥാനങ്ങളെ ബന്ധിപ്പിക്കുന്ന ദേശീയപാതകളില്‍ മൂന്നിടത്തും എയര്‍ സ്ട്രിപ്പുകള്‍ നിര്‍മിക്കാന്‍ പദ്ധതിയുണ്ട്.
    മേഖലയിലെ മാവോയിസ്റ്റ് സാന്നിധ്യം പരിഗണിച്ചാണ് ഇത്.ആന്ധ്രാപ്രദേശ്, തമിഴ്‌നാട് സംസ്ഥാനങ്ങളിലെ ദേശീയപാതകളും എയര്‍ സ്ട്രിപ്പ് നിര്‍മിക്കാന്‍ ഉദ്ദേശിക്കുന്നയിടങ്ങളുടെ പരിഗണനയിലുണ്ട്. ദേശീയപാതകളില്‍ എയര്‍ സ്ട്രിപ്പുകള്‍ നിര്‍മിക്കുന്നതിന്റെ സാധ്യത പരിശോധിക്കാന്‍ റോഡ് ട്രാന്‍സ്‌പോര്‍ട്ട് ആന്‍ഡ് ഹൈവേയ്‌സ് മന്ത്രാലയം 2016ല്‍ ഒരു മന്ത്രിതല ജോയന്റ് കമ്മറ്റി രൂപവത്കരിച്ചിരുന്നു. പ്രതിരോധമന്ത്രാലയവും വ്യോമസേനയുമായിരുന്നു കമ്മറ്റിയിലെ മറ്റ് അംഗങ്ങള്‍. വ്യോമസേനയ്ക്കും നാഷണല്‍ ഹൈവേ അതോറിറ്റി ഓഫ് ഇന്ത്യക്കുമായിരുന്നു സൈറ്റ് സര്‍വേയുടെയും പരിശോധനകളുടെയും ചുമതല.
