    Former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi had laid the foundation for technological revolution because of which the country is surging forward in the information and technology sector, Congress senior leader and Rajya Sabha member V Hanumantha Rao has said. Speaking at Rajiv Gandhi’s 70 birth anniversary celebrations at Hyderabad Rao and TPCC president Ponnala Lakshmaiah recalled the contribution of Rajiv Gandhi to the IT sector’s growth in the country.

Singh said that the rise in communal incidents must not divide the Indian society. Praising Rajiv Gandhi for his contribution, Singh said that the former was a visionary who saw far ahead than his contemporaries. He also said that Rajiv Gandhi personified liberal, tolerant and secular values.
