Kementrian Keuangan (Kemenkeu) memperkirakan, defisit keuangan Badan Penyelenggara Jaminan Sosial (BPJS) Kesehatan mencapai Rp 10,98 triliun pada tahun 2018. BPJS Kesehatan menuding rendahnya ketentuan pembayaran iuran peserta, menjadi salah satu penyebab terjadinya defisit.
