Saneesh Kumar comes from a remote area of Kerala where there was an issue of roads and other basic facilities. Through the help of Rajiv Gandhi Sadak project new roads were built in his area. He tells us that with the funds from the Rajiv Gandhi Water project the government was able to bring fresh water to the people.
He says Rajiv Gandhi died to ensure the integrity of the nation. Sonia Gandhi took over the mantle of the party, built it up again and won the elections. Saneesh feels major changes have been made in the economic and technical fields under the Congress rule. Bills like RTI and MNREGA were passed. These kinds of policies and achievements have made us equal to the developed world.
He further says Rahul Gandhi's leadership will ensure that we unlock the power of our greatest strength that is 'People of India'. India will become stronger and more prosperous.

Pradeep Kumar hails from Nalanda District, Bihar. He is a third year law student with the Delhi University.
Pradeep says that all the government schemes should be implemented at the ground level where people can see how much work is being done. He feels if there are well educated and well qualified teachers in the villages it would add to the effort to provide better education to all. He believes if one doesn't look at the policies and schemes at the grass root level then one will never know if they are working or not.
Pradeep says a person needs to have good morals and a strong will to achieve a bigger goal. But the most important is that his or her work must inspire others to do the same. He too wishes to make a difference with his work where and contribute something positive to the society.
Under the UPA led Congress's RTE Act - 2,14,561 Primary and 1,76,361 Upper Primary School have been sanctioned till date, of which 96% are operational.
More than 12,34,000 New Primary School Teachers have been appointed in various government schools across India.

A Billion & One Voices: The Story of Raj Kumar
Raj Kumar Sharma, a Caterer who lives in Attari Village, Amritsar. It is Attari border commonly known as Wagah border where the famous, joint (India-Pakistan) parade ceremony is held every day. Truckloads of goods are exchanged everyday. He says there is "a sense of fraternity", "a feeling of brotherhood" with the neighboring country.
Raj Kumar believes leaders like Jawaharlal Nehru and Indira Gandhi did excellent work and created a framework for an enduring democracy. The forward thinking of Congress Party, is not seen in any other party.
He says it was Rajiv Gandhi's vision to have people from all classes live together and in the process he even sacrificed his life. He knows given a chance, Rahul Gandhi will make India shine through his exemplary work. He wants the Congress Party to come back to power once again.

Ravinder Kumar hails from Himachal Pradesh but is currently settled in Delhi. A truck driver by profession he drives his truck from Delhi to Sonepat. Once a year Ravinder takes a break for 6 weeks to visit his family in Himachal. But even on his break he doesn't sit idle, he works at shoring up the mountain roads.
He tells us when the BJP was in power every time he or his village people would have to meet the minister, they would often hear the minister complain saying "You did not vote for us". Ravinder feels that it's the common mans right to vote for who so ever he wishes for. Leaders cannot go around asking why did you vote for X, Y & Z.
Rahul Gandhi he feels is a good leader who goes into the villages asking people about their problems. He is the one man who would even walk alone to people's homes and directly talk to them about the hardships they face. Ravinder says Rahul Gandhi never neglects anyone and not once has he asked anyone in his village "Who did you vote for?" A true leader who when says he'll do something, actually does it.

This is a fascinating story of two people belonging to different backgrounds, coming together for a bigger cause. Kashyap Nandan is a business analyst in a multinational company who moved to Bangalore for better opportunities. Apart from his career he's also interested in the well being of people. He is saddened that a whole lot people don't know about the schemes happening in the government. He would very much like to hold camps where common people are educated about these schemes. He would prefer a door-to-door delivery of these schemes in order to save poor people the trouble of dealing with government offices.
Shabbir Ahmed from Karnataka, is the general secretary with Youth Congress Bratanpura. Shabbir since childhood wanted to be a leader. He says poor people or uneducated people are not comfortable going to government offices for their pension or any kind of work. Like a true leader he wants to lend a helping hand to everyone across the board. Without discriminating against any person or community.

Budi and Juglal never had any means to support themselves ever. No land no oxen, not even water. They are marginal farmers who work as labour on small farms while their children used to play all day here and there. Because of the RTE launched by the UPA led Congress Government they managed to put their children in school. Now they are happy that the children are learning something. They feel education will open the door of opportunities for them.
The Congress led UPA government passed the Right To Education Act (RTE) in 2009 that makes education a Constitutional Right for every citizen. It has spent 8.7 times more than the previous government on Sarva Shiskha Abhiyaan.

The story of Vijay & Anjali Das shows us how political parties actually effect the common man of India. Vijay and Anjali tells us they think well of a political party when it does more work for the poor. Their experience so far has not been good. They have to pay one rupee everyday to the Trinamool party shop committee or else they are beaten and face other problems like electricity being cut off. The fear of being beaten is what keeps them quiet and they pay whatever is asked.
Anjali says with the Trinamool in power, Bengal has become very unsafe for women. Every second day they hear stories of rape which makes her scared to send her daughter out of the house. In a situation like this how will anyone be able to educate their daughters she asks.
It is the work the Congress party does that sets them apart from other political parties. Indira Gandhi did a lot for the poor. A woman who always kept her word. Vijay and Anjali want a party that will not create unrest. A party that will let them eat 2 square meals peacefully. They want Rahul Gandhi to win. They feel it will be better for the country if he comes to power and that's why they would only vote for the Congress.

This is a story of a young boy who has been a boatman since the age of 6. He works hard just so he can pay his school fees. He is confident that he can do well as he speak perfect English and even knows how to work on computers. He says he uses computer to check the cricket scores and be in touch with his friends through email.
This young boy has big dreams. He wants to study till the 12th and then take up cricket professionally. He says "There are no good bowlers in the Indian cricket team anymore." This young boy wants to be famous one day and earn lots of money.
He narrates how life was when his beautiful city Varanasi, was flooded due to the rise in water level. He says, "People didn't have even clean water to drink." In that time of chaos Congress workers came as a blessing in disguise. Not only did they provide water, food, clothes but even other basic necessities.

A Billion & One Voices: The Story of Ashu Vinayak
Ashu Vinayak aspired to be a body builder at the age of ten. A state and university level champion, he runs his own gym. He says good health not only boosts your confidence, it also keeps the youth away from bad habits. He is happy that a percentage of people who come to his gym have the determination to do it right.
Ashu is also a Block President of Youth Congress from Jindyala Guru(Punjab). He joined the Congress because he feels it's a secular party. In his words "Congress never says I am hindu, muslim, sikh... it says I am Congress". Secondly he feels Congress party does a lot for the youth.
He tells us how Rahul Gandhi organized elections for the Youth Congress in his area which gave a fair chance to people at the bottom reach the top. He believes a true leader always carries his people with him. And if we want 'Hindustan to remain Hindustan' then Congress needs to stay as they take people forward and not backwards.

Hussain also talks about Mr. Shashi Tharoor and how much good work he has done. The new harbour was entirely his initiative. A big reason why he and his people would vote for him. He says Mr. Tharoor is an honest man and the new harbor that he has built will have far reaching effects and will even help the next generation.
