यूपी के रामपुर में भारतीय जनता पार्टी अनुसूचित मोर्चा के तत्वावधान में स्वच्छ भारत अभियान के तहत आंबेडकर पार्क में स्वच्छता अभियान चलाया गया। इस मौके पर मोर्चा के सभी पद अधिकारी मौजूद रहे है वहीँ मोर्चा के क्षेत्रीय प्रभारी राकेश खरे वाल्मीकि ने कहा कि प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने देश को मजबूत किया है। अमरनाथ वाल्मीकि ने कहा कि जो देश में दलित हित की बात करेगा वे देश में राज करेगा। हम सब मिल कर देश को स्वछ ओर सुंदर बनने का प्रयास करंगे। हमारा एक कदम देश को स्वछता का मैसेज देता है और लोगो को जागरूक करता है।

    The Anna Hazare team said that Anna has refused to come out of Tihar Jail if the release was conditional. Anna has made it clear that he will not secure a release with conditions, says activist Kiran Bedi. She said Hazare was insisting that he be allowed to hold his protest without any conditions at Jai Prakash Narain Park or any other place like Jantar Mantar. Hazare was lodged in Tihar Jail after he was sent to judicial custody following his refusal to heed to Delhi Police's request not to defy prohibitory orders.

    स्पाइसजेट के बोइंग 737 विमान ने मुंबई से दुर्गापुर के अंडाल स्थित काजी नजरूल इस्लाम एयरपोर्ट के लिए उड़ान भरी थी। ये यात्री विमान एयरपोर्ट पर लैंडिंग से ठीक पहले काल बैसाखी तूफान में फंस गया। ऐसा लग रहा था कि तूफान में फंसा विमान एक पल हवा में ही रुक सा गया है। तूफ़ान में फंसते ही विमान के केबिन में रखा सामान गिरने लगा और इसकी वजह से विमान में सवार 40 यात्री घायल हो गए। विमान की सुरक्षित लैंडिंग के बाद सभी घायलों को उपचार के लिए तत्काल नजदीकी रानीगंज अस्पताल ले जाया गया, जहां 10 की हालत गंभीर बताई जा रही है। अन्य 30 घायलों की हालत खतरे से बाहर है। बताया जा रहा है कि इस हादसे में घायल हुए लगभग सभी यात्रियों को सिर में चोट आई है।
