हरियाणा के वित्तमंत्री कैप्टन अभिमन्यु के साथ उत्तरप्रदेश, दिल्ली, पंजाब, हिमाचल प्रदेश और चण्डीगढ़ के वित्त मंत्रियों और अधिकारियों की बैठक हुई। 3 साल पहले सभी पड़ोसी राज्यों के साथ आर्थिक विषयों पर सहमति बनाने की शुरुआत की गई थी। इसी कड़ी में सभी राज्यों में पेट्रोल-डीजल के दामों में एकरूपता लाने पर सहमति बनी है। उत्तर भारत के सभी राज्यों में एक समान रेट हों इसके लिए सभी राज्यों के अधिकारियों की कमेटी बनाई गई है। जहाँ एक्साइज में एक समानता लाने पर राय बनी वहीँ ट्रांसपोर्ट सेक्टर में भी शुल्क में भी समानता लाने पर सहमति बनी है। टैक्स स्लैब पर निर्णय सभी राज्यों के अधिकारीयों की कमिटी की ओर से लिया जाएगा। आने वाले 15 दिनों में सब कमेटी की बैठक में पॉलिसी तय की जाएगी। उत्तर भारत के इन 6 राज्यों में पैट्रोलियम पदार्थों की कीमत एक समान हो सकती है*
