Full text of the speech of Sonia Gandhi at New Delhi :-

Akheem Ajmal Khan was the symbol of Delhi's mixed culture. He fully supported the unity of Hindu and Muslim. He was the Congress president and was one of the pillars of Congress. We get inspiration from such great personality even today. Everybody competes in election and when results come out someone wins and someone loses.

We are proud that most of the times you have teposed your faith in us after the independence and we tried to justify your trust. We are proud that all our leaders have fought to protect nation's dignity in eye of the world. This is the result of hard work of your ancestors. Whenever I remembered them I feel they are much greater than us.

I am in the politics to take forward this tradition. Our mixed culture is more important to me than power. Authority is only a source. One can work for the welfare of the people when motive is right but when motive is wrong then it can destroy everyone.

There are people who work with bad motive in our country. They want to take society to the path of darkness and oppression. I have complete trust in you. I am fully assured that you won't commit any mistake but will give your full support to Congress. There are some people who think that running a government is a child play but you know how they ran away few days from responsibility in Delhi.
