ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਸਰ ਦੇ ਸਰਹੱਦੀ ਪਿੰਡ ਛਿੱਡਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਵ-ਵਿਆਹੇ ਜੋੜੇ ਦੇ ਕਤਲ ਦਾ ਮਾਮਲਾ ਸਾਹਮਣਾ ਆਇਆ ਹੈ। ਦਸਿਆ ਜਾ ਰਹਾ ਹੈ ਕੇ ਲਵ ਮਿਰਜ ਕਰਨੀ ਹੀ ਉਹਨਾ ਦੀ ਮੌਤ ਦਾ ਕਾਰਨ ਬਣਿਆ ਹੈ / ਇਲਜ਼ਾਮਾਂ ਮੁਤਾਬਕ ਲੜਕੀ ਦੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਤੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਜੋੜੇ ਦਾ ਗੋਲੀਆਂ ਮਾਰ ਕੇ ਬੇਰਹਿਮੀ ਨਾਲ ਕਤਲ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਖਬਰ ਮੁਤਾਬਿਕ ਪਿੰਡ ਲਾਹੌਰੀਮੱਲ ਵਾਸੀ ਲੜਕੀ ਮਨਜੀਤ ਕੌਰ ਅਤੇ ਛਿੱਡਣ ਵਾਸੀ ਗੁਰਜੰਟ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਪਿਛਲੇ ਸਾਲ ਜਨਵਰੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਾਈ ਕੋਰਟ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਵ ਮੈਰਿਜ ਕਰਵਾਈ ਸੀ। ਲੜਕੀ ਦੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਵਾਲੇ ਵਿਆਹ ਤੋਂ ਖੁਸ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਨ। ਬੀਤੀ ਰਾਤ ਇਹ ਦੋਵੇਂ ਮੌਟਰਸਾਈਕਲ 'ਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਿੰਡ ਵੱਲ ਜਾ ਰਹੇ ਸੀ। ਦਸਿਆ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਬਲੈਰੋ ਗੱਡੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਏ ਲੜਕੀ ਦੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਬਲਵਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ, ਤਾਏ ਲਖਵਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ, ਕਾਰਜ ਸਿੰਘ, ਬਲਦੇਵ ਸਿੰਘ ਅਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਲੜਕਿਆਂ ਗੁਰਤੇਜ ਸਿੰਘ ਅਤੇ ਗੁਰਭੇਜ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਮੋਟਸਾਈਕਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਗੱਡੀ ਮਾਰ ਕੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਖੇਤਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੁੱਟ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਫਿਰ ਗੋਲੀਆਂ ਚਲਾ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ। ਕਤਲ ਲਈ 12 ਬੋਰ ਦੀ ਰਾਈਫਲ ਅਤੇ ਪਿਸਤੌਲ ਵਰਤੇ। ਵਾਰਦਾਤ ਨੂੰ ਅੰਜਾਮ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਮੁਲਜ਼ਮ ਫਰਾਰ ਹੋ ਗਏ। ਪੁਲਿਸ ਨੇ 8 ਲੋਕਾਂ ਖਿਲਾਫ ਮਾਮਲਾ ਦਰਜ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ।
