नई दिल्ली. दिल्ली के कॉन्स्टिट्यूशन क्लब में रविवार को हुए कार्यक्रम में गृह मंत्री अमित शाह ने तीन तलाक मामले पर कहा, ''कुछ राजनीतिक पार्टियों को वोट बैंक की आदत पड़ गई थी। तुष्टिकरण की राजनीति के चलते तीन तलाक इतने साल तक चलता रहा। जब हम पूरे समाज की परिकल्पना लेकर चलते हैं तो हमें संवेदनाओं के बारे में सोचना पड़ता है।’’
शाह ने कहा, ''वोटों के लालच में तुष्टिकरण जरूरी नहीं है। जो पिछड़ा है, गरीब है उसे साथ लेकर चलना पड़ता है। गरीब कोई भी हो उसका धर्म नहीं होता है। विकास ही उसे मुख्यधारा में सामने लाकर खड़ा करता है। तुष्टिकरण भारत के विभाजन का कारण बना था। वोट बैंक की वजह से देश के विकास में बाधा आई।''
बहुमत के आधार पर सरकार तीन तलाक खत्म कर पाई
उन्होंने कहा, ''मुझे लगता है कि जनता ने मोदीजी को दूसरी बार पूर्ण बहुमत देकर तुष्टिकरण की राजनीति को पूरी तरह से खत्म कर दिया। उसी बहुमत के आधार पर एनडीए सरकार तीन तलाक को खत्म कर पाई है। लोग दुहाई देते हैं कि तीन तलाक शरियत का हिस्सा है।
महिलाओं को समानता का अधिकार मिलेगा
शाह ने कहा, ‘‘हमें कांग्रेस के तुष्टिकरण को खत्म करने में 56 साल लग गए। अगर यह कुरान का हिस्सा होता तो दुनिया के मुस्लिम देश इसे क्यों हटाते? मोदी सरकार ने अब मुस्लिम माताओं-बहनों को तीन तलाक से मुक्ति दिलाई है। कई लोग आरोप लगाते हैं कि हमने मुस्लिम विरोधी काम किया। मैं साफ करना चाहता हूं कि तीन तलाक खत्म होने से मुस्लिम समाज की महिलाओं को समानता का अधिकार मिलेगा।''
कोर्ट ने तीन तलाक को असंवैधानिक बताया था
उन्होंने कहा, ''अगर इस कुप्रथा को नहीं हटाते तो यह भारतीय लोकतंत्र पर सबसे बड़ा धब्बा होता। शाह बानो ने तीन तलाक को कोर्ट में चुनौती दी थी। तब कोर्ट ने इसे असंवैधानिक बताया था। उस दौरान राजीव गांधी की बहुमत वाली सरकार थी और सरकार ने संसद में कानून बनाकर शीर्ष अदालत के फैसले को बदल दिया।''
