It's a Black Friday for global financial markets as voters in Britain voted in favour of quitting the European Union. In India, the BSE Sensex slumped over 1,050 points or nearly 4 per cent, while the broader Nifty index traded below the psychological 8,000 levels as Brexit fears came true.

    अमेरिकी करेंसी डॉलर के मुक़ाबले भारतीय करेंसी रुपया अपने नौ महीने की सबसे बड़ी गिरावट के दौर से गुजर रहा है। डॉलर के मुक़ाबले रुपया का कमजोर होना कोई नई बात नहीं है। रुपया पिछली सरकारों के समय भी गिरा है क्योंकि डॉलर एक वैश्विक करेंसी है और दुनिया के अधिकतर देश डॉलर से ही लेनदेन करते हैं और जब भी अमेरिका डॉलर को लेकर कदम उठाता है तो उसका असर दूसरे देशों की करेंसी पर भी पड़ता है। लेकिन जब प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी गुजरात के मुख्यमंत्री थे तब शायद उनको यह ज्ञान नहीं था। आज डॉलर के मुक़ाबले रुपया रिकॉर्ड स्तर पर नीचे तक पहुँच गया है।भारतीय मुद्रा रुपया लगातार कमज़ोर हो रहा है. बैंकों और आयातकों के बीच डॉलर की भारी मांग के कारण ये गिरावट आ रही है. विदेशी मुद्रा के कारोबारियों का कहना है कि अमरीका और चीन में जारी ट्रेड वॉर के कारण रुपया दबाव में है, आख़िर अमरीकी डॉलर दुनिया भर में इस क़दर मज़बूत क्यों है? डॉलर की मांग ज़्यादा क्यों रहती है? इंडिया Rupee against the US Dollar has been deteriorating since 2014 under Modi govt and how Modi as CM of Gujarat attacked the Congress govt for downfall of Rupee before 2014. #RupeeVsDollar #PMModi #IndianEconomy

  • Sen$ex slides over 200 pts, Rupee up 17 paise against dollar

    BSE benchmark Sensex has dropped by 201 points in late morning deals. The 30-share index resumed higher at 28,133.36 and later moved in a range of 28,143.28 and 27,846.57. Major losers were, Lupin , ICICI Bank, Reliance , Tata Motors, Dr Reddy , Maruti , Gail , Larsen and Cipla. The NSE 50-share Nifty also quoted lower by 72.70 points or 0.84 per cent at 8,605.55. The rupee has appreciated by 17 paise to 66.67 against the dollar today on sustained selling of the US currency by exporters and banks, with a higher opening in the equity market backing it up. Forex dealers have said the weakness in the dollar against some other currencies overseas and continued inflows by foreign funds too supported the rupee.
