जहां, एक तरफ सरकार सबका साथ, सबका विकास की बात करती है तो वहीं, मध्य प्रदेश के टीकमगढ़ जिले से एक ऐसा मामला सामने आया है, जिसने एक बार फिर भारतीय समाज में मौजूद जातीय भेदभाव पर बहस छेड़ दी है। स्कूलों में मिड डे मील योजना का मकसद ज्यादा से ज्यादा बच्चों को स्कूलों तक लाना है। लेकिन यह खबर जानकर आप चौंक जाएंगे कि इस बार बच्चों ने मिड डे मील खाने से सिर्फ इसलिए इनकार कर दिया है क्योंकि खाना बनाने वाली महिला दलित जाति से संबंध रखती है। टीकमगढ़ के इस स्कूल में मिड डे मील बनाने वाली महिला दलित है.. इसी के चलते बच्चों और उनके परिवारवालों ने खाना खाने से इनकार कर दिया है। बच्चों का कहना है कि वो किसी नीची बिरादरी की महिला के हाथ का बना खाना नहीं खा सकते। खाना बनाने वाली महिला के बेटे के मुताबिक कुल बच्चों में से सिर्फ बारह बच्चे मिड-डे का खाना खाते हैं बाकी ऊंची जाति के बच्चें कहते हैं कि हम तुम्हारा खाना नहीं खाएंगे, क्योंकि तुम हमारी बिरादरी के नहीं हो। उनकी मां घर पर खाना बनाती हैं। दरअसल यहां मिड-डे का खाना किसी दलित के घर पकाया जाता है।
