20 साल की पर्ल बॉलीवुड में अपना करियर बनाना चाहती थीं । लेकिन फिल्मों में काम न मिलने से परेशान थी। पर्ल पार्ट टाइम में मॉडलिंग भी करती थी लेकिन उसका सपना एक्ट्रेस बनने का था। काफी दिनों से काम ना मिलने की वजह से वह निराश हो गई थीं। जिससे परेशान होकर पर्ल ने मुंबई के ओशिवारा इलाके में अपने अपार्टमेंट की टैरेस से कूदकर आत्महत्या कर ली है। वहीं मीडिया रिपोर्ट्स की मानें तो इससे पहले भी पर्ल दो बार खुदखुशी की कोशिश कर चुकी हैं। लेकिन दोनों बार उन्हें बचा लिया गया था
।
