धर्मषाला से शिमला को रवाना होते हुए मुख्यमंत्री जयराम ठाकुर पूर्व सांसद शांता कुमार से मुलाकात करने उनके निवास पर पहुंचे। दोनों नेताओं ने अकेले में करीब एक घंटे तक मंत्रणा की। जयराम ठाकुर ने कहा कि हर मुलाकात का मकसद राजनीतिक नहीं होता है। मुलाकात में संगठन ये सरकार से संबंधित मुद्दों पर चर्चा की गई है। उन्होंने कहा कि धर्मशाला उपचुनाव को लेकर भी बातचीत हुई है। धर्मशाला से पूर्व मुख्यमंत्री प्रेम कुमार धूमल का नाम चर्चा में आने को लेकर मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि उपचुनाव हैं तो बहुत से नाम सामने आ रहे हैं लेकिन ऐसे विषयों पर अंतिम फैसला पार्टी आलाकमान ही करती है।

However, after the cabinet meeting in Shimla yesterday, Urban Development Minister Suresh Bhardwaj had also talked about increasing the area of Palampur Municipal Council, but Shanta Kumar is telling him the first step towards making it a municipal corporation. Now only the Jai Ram government of the state can tell the truth on this.
