The long-awaited sequel seems certain to float onto Fortnite...

Fortnite seems to be gearing up for another movie crossover, with the appearance of ominous red balloons in the game seeming like a fairly massive clue that It Chapter Two content is coming to the iconic battle royale game.

Epic Games hasn't yet announced the Fortnite/It Chapter Two crossover, but it does seem like a match made in heaven: since the It movies feature a team of friends coming together to take down Pennywise, it's easy to see how a Fortnite event could be built around the plot of the films.

Despite the fact that the specifics of the event haven't been formally confirmed, players have started to spot red balloons attached to creepy drains in the game. Players who pop the balloons are rewarded with an eerie laugh sound effect. Fresh from Twitter, here's an example.
