26 year old drowns at Dikrai River in Jamugurihat of Sonitpur District

Sensation gripped in Itakhula area of Jamugurihat after a 26 year old youth went missing falling into Dikrai River on Sunday morning.

As per reports, the incident took place during the Visarjan ceremony of Goddess 'Manasha Ma' in the area.

The missing youth was identified as Pradip Mallick.

Meanwhile, a search operation was carried out by the SDRF personnel.

    JAMMU LINKS NEWS | A teenage boy today died due to drowning in a river in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir on Friday.

    Reports said that the deceased boy identified as Umar Iqbal, 15, a resident of Bela Colony, was bathing along with his friends in Darhali river near Bela Colony, Rajouri, around 1:00 pm.

    After an hour later the body of the deceased was fished out of river water and was rushed to district hospital where he was declared as brought dead, reports claimed.

    However, after all the legal formalities the body was handed over to the family for last rites.

  • 13 year old boy drowns in River Brahmaputra

    In a tragic incident, a 13 year old boy drowned in River Brahmaputra on Sunday afternoon near Bazaarghat in Uzan Bazaar area of Guwahati.

    The boy was identified as Roshan Basfor.

    Sources informed that Roshan Basfor came along with his parents to perform some pujas and rituals near Bazaarghat of Uzan Bazaar area, when he reportedly slipped and fell in the River and got drowned.

    Meanwhile, both the SDRF and NDRF personnel have launched a search operation in the area.

    An eyewitness told that the 3-year-old minor identified as Aaliya daughter of Nazir Ahmad Parray slipped into the Gundari nallah which runs adjacent to his home at hurhundpora.

    Soon after this tragic incident, the locals rushed to the spot and retrieved the body of minor from the nallah and shifted her to a Hospital where doctors declared her brought dead.

    A police officer also confirmed the death of the minor due to drowning
