In a major breakthrough, the Indian Army supported by Assam Police, while conducting operations in Ripu Reserve Forest of Kokrajhar district, Assam, have successfully apprehended six hardcore NDFB(S) Militants.

    असम के कोकराझार में आज संदिग्ध उग्रवादियों ने फायरिंग करते हुए 13 नागरिकों की हत्या कर दी..जबकि 30 लोगों के ज़ख्मी होने की खबर है...गोलीबारी की ये घटना साप्ताहिक बाज़ार में हुई है... बताया जा रहा है कि काला कपड़ा पहने कुछ हमलावरों ने अचानक लोगों पर फायरिंग करनी शुरु कर दी और इसके बाद ग्रेनेड भी फेंका...हमले में 13 लोगों की मौत हो गई, जबकि 30 के करीब लोग घायल हैं... सुरक्षाबलों ने एक हमलावर को मार गिराया है..बताया जा रहा है कि नेशनल डेमोक्रेटिक फ्रंट ऑफ बोडोलैंड के कुछ हमलावरों ने ये हमला किया है...हालांकि अभी तक किसी संगठन ने इस हमले की ज़िम्मेदारी नहीं ली है...पूरे इलाके को सुरक्षाबलों ने घेर लिया है...और सर्च ऑपरेशन जारी है...घटनास्थल से एके-47 और भारी मात्रा में हथियार बरामद किए गए हैं...वहीं मुख्‍यमंत्री सर्बानंद सोनोवाल ने प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद मोदी को पूरी घटना की जानकारी दी है. गृह राज्यरमंत्री किरन रिजिजू का कहना है कि हालात का जायजा लिया जा रहा है... वैसे पूर्वोत्तर में उग्रवादी संगठन काफी ज्यादा सक्रिय हैं...ऐसे में आतंकवाद के साथ साथ उग्रवाद के खतरे से निपटना सरकार के लिए बड़ी चुनौती है.
