केंद्रीय ऊर्जा मंत्री आर के सिंह ने बुधवार को कहा कि मंत्रालय ने वितरण कंपनियों द्वारा बिजली की खरीद के लिए भुगतान की पूर्व व्यवस्था के कार्यान्वयन के मद्देनजर राज्यों से शुल्क कम करने को कहा है।

आर के सिंह से जब उनके मंत्रालय द्वारा वितरण कंपनियों को दिए गए एक पत्र के बारे में पूछा गया तो उन्होंने कहा कि हमने प्री-पेमेंट के लिए एक व्यवस्था की है, जिसका अर्थ है कि अब वहन लागत कम हो गई है। चूंकि वहन लागत कम हो गई है। ऐसे में टैरिफ में कटौती करने के लिए नियामक को पत्र भी चला गया है इसलिए टैरिफ तदनुसार कम हो जाएगा। टैरिफ को कम करने के लिए, हमने अन्य कदम भी उठाए हैं।
