  • NSSO report citing high unemployment rate not verified: Niti Aayog

    India's unemployment rate hit a 45-year high of 6.1 per cent in 2017, according to a report based on an official survey, which the government said was yet to be approved. The National Sample Survey Office's (NSSO's) periodic labour force survey (PLFS), according to the Business Standard newspaper, states that unemployment was last this high in 1972-73. Niti Aayog Vice Chairman Rajiv Kumar, at a press conference Thursday said the report cited by the newspaper "is not finalised. It is a draft report".

    രാജ്യത്തെ തൊഴിലില്ലായ്മ 45 വർഷത്തിനിടയിലെ ഏറ്റവും ഉയർന്ന നിരക്കിലെത്തിയതായി ദേശീയ സാമ്പിൾ സർവേ ഓഫീസിന്റെ (എൻ.എസ്.എസ്.ഒ.) റിപ്പോർട്ട്.
    ദേശീയ സ്റ്റാറ്റിസ്റ്റിക്കൽ കമ്മിഷൻ അംഗീകാരം നൽകിയിട്ടും പുറത്തുവിടാതെ കേന്ദ്ര സർക്കാർ പൂഴ്ത്തിവെച്ച 2017-18 ലെ തൊഴിൽ സർവേയിലാണ് ഈ വിവരമുള്ളത്. തൊഴിലില്ലായ്മ നിരക്ക് 6.1 ശതമാനത്തിൽ എത്തിയെന്ന് റിപ്പോർട്ട് ഉദ്ധരിച്ച് ദേശീയ മാധ്യമം റിപ്പോർട്ട് ചെയ്തു.2011-12ൽ ഇത് 2.2 ശതമാനമായിരുന്നു. 1972-73 കാലയളവിനുശേഷം ആദ്യമായാണ് രാജ്യത്തെ തൊഴിലില്ലായ്മ നിരക്ക് ഇത്രയധികം ഉയരുന്നത്.
    സ്റ്റാറ്റിസ്റ്റിക്കൽ കമ്മിഷൻ അനുമതി നൽകി രണ്ടുമാസമായിട്ടും കേന്ദ്രസർക്കാർ റിപ്പോർട്ട് പുറത്തുവിടാത്തതിൽ പ്രതിഷേധിച്ച് ആക്ടിങ് ചെയർപേഴ്‌സൺ പി.സി. മോഹനൻ, അംഗം ജെ.വി. മീനാക്ഷി എന്നിവർ രാജിവെച്ചതിനുപിന്നാലെയാണ് വിവരങ്ങൾ പുറത്തുവന്നത്.
    പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി നരേന്ദ്ര മോദി 2016 നവംബറിൽ നോട്ട് അസാധുവാക്കൽ പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ചശേഷം രാജ്യത്ത് ഒരു സർക്കാർ ഏജൻസി നടത്തിയ ആദ്യ സർവേയാണിത്.
    2017 ജൂലായ്‌മുതൽ 2018 ജൂൺവരെയുള്ള കാലയളവിലാണ് സർവേ നടത്തിയത്. തൊഴിലില്ലായ്മ കൂടുതൽ നഗരങ്ങളിലാണെന്ന് റിപ്പോർട്ടിൽ പറയുന്നു (7.8 ശതമാനം). ഗ്രാമങ്ങളിൽ 5.3 ശതമാനവും.
    റിപ്പോർട്ടിലെ പ്രധാന കണ്ടെത്തലുകൾ
    സ്ത്രീകൾക്കിടയിൽ തൊഴിലില്ലായ്മ 2011-12ൽ 5.2 ശതമാനമായിരുന്നത് 2017-18-ൽ 17.3 ശതമാനമായി ഉയർന്നു.
    * പുരുഷന്മാർക്കിടയിൽ 2011-12-ൽ 4.4 ശതമാനമായിരുന്നത് 2017-18-ൽ 10.5 ശതമാനമായി.
    * ഗ്രാമീണമേഖലയിൽ വിദ്യാസമ്പന്നർക്കിടയിൽ തൊഴിലില്ലായ്മ വർധിച്ചു.

In the video, the man is heard saying that he got oxygen supply from patients snapped for 5 mins. The man, in the video, added that this was part of an experiment to know who all will survive. Reports suggest the video is purportedly of Arinjay Jain, owner of Paras Hospital on NH 2. UP health dept has ordered a probe into the incident after the video went viral.
