    एक्टर और फिल्ममेकर नीरज वोरा का गुरुवार की सुबह 4 बजे क्रिटी केयर अस्पताल में निधन हो गया। बता दें कि पिछले साल अक्टूबर में उन्हें हार्ट अटैक और ब्रेन स्ट्रोक आया था। इसके बाद उन्‍हें दिल्ली स्थित एम्स में एडमिट कराया गया था। वहां नीरज कोमा में चले गए थे और उन्हें वेंटिलेटर पर रखा गया था।

    रिपोर्ट्स के मुताबिक, '10 महीने से कोमा में हैं अक्षय कुमार की 'फिर हेरा फेरी' के निर्देशक नीरज के इलाज का खर्च उनके दोस्त उठा रहे थे। कोमा की हालत में नीरज के दोस्त फिरोज नाडियाडवाला उनकी पूरी जिम्मेदारी उठा रहे थे। यहां तक कि फिरोज ने जुहू स्थित अपने घर 'बरकत विला' के एक कमरे को ही आईसीयू में कन्वर्ट करा दिया था।'

    बता दें कि नीरज ने 'फिर हेराफेरी', 'खिलाड़ी 420' जैसी फिल्‍म निर्देशित की थी। इसके अलावा नीरज राइटर भी थे। उन्होंने 'रंगीला', 'अकेले हम अकेले तुम', 'ताल', 'जोश', 'बदमाश', 'चोरी चोरी चुपके चुपके', 'आवारा पागल दीवाना' जैसी फिल्‍मों के संवाद लिखे थे।

    नीरज 'हेराफेरी 3' पर काम कर रहे थे, लेकिन बीमारी के चलते इसमें रुकावट आ गई थी। बताया जा रहा था कि वह पैसों की तंगी से भी जूझ रहे थे।
