Bitcoin is the most widely adopted crypto asset; it is worth over $900 billion, more than any tech unicorn founded in the last decade. The recent meeting with the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Finance had a detailed discussion with stakeholders and the Prime Minister then reviewed the matter alongside the Finance Minister and RBI, so there finally seems a ray of hope that some structure will be brought into this unregulated space. Now onwards it’ll be structured to help India rather than a ban. It will create a safeguard for retail investors, the crypto companies based in India will not move out of India, so there will be no flight of capital, it will create a healthy ecosystem for India and Indians to explore emerging technologies and become leaders and innovators in this space. India is one of many countries which has not taken any clear stand on it. There has been talk that the government will introduce legislation on cryptocurrency but nothing concrete has been done due to India's conservative approach. The lack of awareness, transparency and clarity puts the money of the investors, most importantly, retail investors, at risk. This industry which holds so much of capital is not monitored or regulated in India and that should be the point from where India's policy-making should begin.

    Digitalization is on its peak and the development in EdTech has provided teachers and assessors with far greater access to data on individual achievements and progress. Online platforms, new learning formats and mobile applications have vastly improved access to education. It is enhancing the learning process as well. The online and cloud technologies in EdTech standards also bring exciting standardization possibilities for content. However, experts feel that the lack of a regulatory framework in India along the lines of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in Europe could impinge on the privacy of students who now use educational technology (EdTech) apps for learning. Since the onset of the pandemic, online education has replaced conventional classroom instruction. This has spawned several EdTech apps which have become popular. Schools and colleges have been able to move their content delivery, engagement and evaluation from offline to online and ensure minimal academic disruption. This exercise has forced teachers to become facilitators in learning rather than being content providers. The EdTech apps have the advantage of being able to customize learning to every student in the system. Among the edtech sub-sectors, K-12 education startups with $4.3 Bn in total market size will have the single highest market share — 41% of the total edtech market in India. Taking into account that the pandemic has brought plenty of momentum for edtech adoption in India, the market size of edtech in India is estimated to grow 3.7x in the next five years, from $2.8 Bn (2020) to $10.4 Bn (2025).

    India is currently the world’s second-largest telecommunications market. As on March 31, 2023, there were 1.172 billion telephone subscribers in the country.

    Over-the-top (OTT) communication services including Whatsapp, Signal, Zoom, Google Meet and Telegram could be "over regulated" with the threat of encryption being compromised, said technology policy experts after the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India proposed to regulate such services in its consultation paper released recently.
