Punishment for quackery enhanced upto 1 year imprisonment & fine of Rs 5 lakh, says Harsh Vardhan

New Delhi: Despite all the nation-wide protests by doctors and students, ‘National Medical Commission Bill’ got approval from both the Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha and has now become ‘National Medical Commission Act 2019’. Union Minister of Health, Harsh Vardhan addressed mediapersons and cleared one of the major ‘misconceptions’ of ‘quacks’ in the NMC Act.
