Kaja (Himachal Pradesh) : Among the participants, who are training in an ice hockey rink at Kaja in Lahul-Spiti district of Himachal Pradesh, 15 participants have left for Gulmarg, Srinagar to participate in the Advance ice hockey camp. Today, ADM Gyan Sagar addressed the 15-member participants before leaving for Gulmarg on Tuesday. He said that today is a historic day for Lahul Spiti. Today eight girls and seven boys are going to participate in the National Ice Hockey Camp which is going to be held in Gulmarg.

Skating is going on in the morning and evening sessions in the ice skating rink built during the British era in Lakkar Bazaar, Shimla, Himachal. Here, along with the local people, tourists are also enjoying skating. Today children's racing, figure skating and musical chair competitions were also organised. The morning session started here on December 18, after which the evening session was also started a few days ago.There is enthusiasm among tourists about skating. Skating has been happening every year in the ice skating rink of Shimla since 1920. This rink has a 103-year-old history of skating. Till a decade ago, skating used to start here from 15th November. But, due to changes in the weather in the last eight-10 years, skating is able to start only in the second and third week of December.
