प्रसारमाध्यमं हा लोकशाहीने मानलेला मुलभूत आधारस्तंभ असून बदलत्या काळासोबत दिवसेंदिवस अस्थिर होत चाललेल्या समाजाला मार्ग दाखवण्याचे काम आजच्या प्रसारमाध्यमांनी करणं गरजेचं आहे असं प्रतिपादन साधना साप्ताहिकाचे संपादक विनोद शिरसाठ यांनी केलं.बदलता भारत आणि प्रसारमाध्यमांची भूमिका’ या विषयावर बाबा आमटे विद्यार्थी सहाय्यक समितीने श्रीगोंदा येथे आयोजित केलेल्या व्याख्यानमालेच्या समारोपप्रसंगी ते बोलत होते. दिवसेंदिवस समाज अस्थिर होत चालला असून प्रसार माध्यामांनी या समाजाला दिशा देण्याचं काम करावं याबरोबरच प्रसारमाध्यमांनी समाजाचा आरसा होण्याचीही गरज आहे. आज सरकारच्या सततबदलणाऱ्या भूमिकांमुळे लोकांची वैचारिक संदिग्धता वाढत असून त्यांना योग्य माहिती देण हे प्रसारमाध्यमांचं कर्तव्य आहे असंही यावेळी शिरसाठ यांनी सांगितलं
