इंटर प्रथम वर्ष की छात्रा की बलात्कार के बाद हत्या किये जाने के बाद भी आरोपियों को गिरफ्तार नहीं किये जाने के विरोध में पलासा-काशीबुग्गा में जन संगठन, महिला संगठन और छात्र संगठनों ने धरना और प्रदर्शन किया। इस धरना प्रदर्शन में हजारों की संख्या में लोगों ने भाग लिया। इसके चलते घंटों तक ट्रैफिक जाम रह गया
