    തിങ്കളാഴ്ച കോണ്‍ഗ്രസ് പ്രവര്‍ത്തക സമിതിയും കേന്ദ്രതിരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പ് സമിതിയും യോഗം ചേരാനിരിക്കെ അന്തിമതീരുമാനമുണ്ടാകുമെന്ന പ്രതീക്ഷയിലാണ് കേരളത്തിലെ കോണ്‍ഗ്രസ് നേതാക്കള്‍. അതേസമയം, രാഹുല്‍ഗാന്ധി വയനാട്ടില്‍ മത്സരിക്കുന്നത് സംബന്ധിച്ച് കേന്ദ്രനേതൃത്വം ഇതുവരെ വ്യക്തമായ പ്രതികരണമൊന്നും നടത്തിയില്ല. രാഹുല്‍ഗാന്ധി ദക്ഷിണേന്ത്യയില്‍ മത്സരിക്കണമെന്നാണ് കോണ്‍ഗ്രസിലെ ഒരുവിഭാഗത്തിന്റെ ആവശ്യം. നേരത്തെ കര്‍ണാടക, തമിഴ്‌നാട് കോണ്‍ഗ്രസ് നേതൃത്വങ്ങള്‍ ഇക്കാര്യം ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ട് കേന്ദ്രനേതൃത്വത്തെ സമീപിച്ചിരുന്നു.
    ഇതിനുപിന്നാലെയാണ് കോണ്‍ഗ്രസ് അധ്യക്ഷന്‍ വയനാട്ടില്‍ മത്സരിക്കണമെന്ന് കേരളത്തിലെ കോണ്‍ഗ്രസ് നേതാക്കളും ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ടത്.
    അതിനിടെ ഇടതുപക്ഷത്തിന് സ്വാധീനമുള്ള കേരളത്തില്‍ രാഹുല്‍ഗാന്ധി മത്സരിച്ചാല്‍ അത് തെറ്റായ സന്ദേശംനല്‍കുമെന്ന് വാദിക്കുന്നവരും കോണ്‍ഗ്രസിലുണ്ട്. ഇക്കാര്യങ്ങളെല്ലാം വിശദമായി ചര്‍ച്ചചെയ്ത ശേഷമായിരിക്കും കേന്ദ്രതിരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പ് സമിതി വയനാടിന്റെ കാര്യത്തില്‍ അന്തിമതീരുമാനമെടുക്കുക.
    അതേസമയം, രാഹുല്‍ഗാന്ധി വയനാട്ടില്‍ മത്സരിക്കുന്നത് സംബന്ധിച്ച് അനിശ്ചിതത്വമില്ലെന്ന് എ.ഐ.സി.സി. ജനറല്‍ സെക്രട്ടറി ഉമ്മന്‍ചാണ്ടി പറഞ്ഞു. രാഹുല്‍ഗാന്ധി വയനാട്ടില്‍ മത്സരിക്കണമെന്ന ആവശ്യത്തില്‍ കേരളത്തിലെ കോണ്‍ഗ്രസ് ഉറച്ചുനില്‍ക്കുന്നു.
    ഇന്നുതന്നെ അനുകൂല തീരുമാനമുണ്ടാകുമെന്നാണ് പ്രതീക്ഷ- ഉമ്മന്‍ചാണ്ടി മാധ്യമങ്ങളോട് വ്യക്തമാക്കി.
